Resolve / Lag on reference display in Color Page

I've just done a clean install of Resolve and have an odd issue playback issue where it lags on the reference output compared to the GUI. This issue only shows in the color page. Edit page is fine with and with out a grade on. Test now is with quite light ProRes media on a 1080p timeline. No issue with this on the same machine in macOS 13 / Resolve 18.6. Start / stop in the color page feel like a rubber-band.

MACHINE
- Mac Studio M2Ultra / 128GB
- Ultra Studio 3G
- Micro Panel
- All thunderbolt SSD storage
- 2x27" UHD GUI monitors
- macOS 26.5
- Resolve 20.3.3
- Blackmagic Desktop Video 15.3.1 and 16.0.1 (same issue)

Yes. This is very strange. It’s like the GUI speeds up when I hit play, ref-monitor is in realtime but has a delay when I pause / stop. Rubber-bandy I guess would explain it best and not ”snappy”.

It’s also only in the color page. The edit page works perfect.

I’ll try to post a video of the phenomenon.

Running two UHD screens is quite memory-hungry (an old habit), so maybe you don't need them at full resolution? I run my UHD monitors at 2560x1440.
Also, sometimes it's nice to have 'Minimize interface updates during playback' turned OFF when you're reviewing a scene or overall.

It wasn't an issue in macOS 13 on the same machine so I'd almost class this as a bug. I could try to run with 1 display at a very low resolution but that seems a little backwards and really isn't an option. The playback is / was fine in the edit page. Playback is fine in After Effects (be it, there it's just playing cached frames) but the color page clearly works a little different.
