Does anyone have a screenshot of Yedlin’s curve demonstrated in the TAC resolve training? I wanted to check it out but it’s not worth 400$
I think he talks about this in the Genesis training, but that only comes with the $2000 Genesis plug-in.Does anyone have a screenshot of Yedlin’s curve demonstrated in the TAC resolve training? I wanted to check it out but it’s not worth 400$
He shows one or two versions here :Does anyone have a screenshot of Yedlin’s curve demonstrated in the TAC resolve training? I wanted to check it out but it’s not worth 400$

They are probably the same one , or at least very close except the very top. The difference is that one has a white balance baked in. He has talked/shown about that white balance gains he bakes or baked in. We just don’t know what those gains are . I wouldn’t dwell on it too much as it’s more for the way he shootsI now have both curves, the one he showed at the Genesis talk and the one he was supposedly using during Knives Out.
Two questions for everyone:
1. Why do you think they look so different
2. Best way to replicate them to get an exact match? Does anyone wanna take a crack at it?
Thanks a lot everyoneView attachment 13153View attachment 13154
Just match the grid of the screenshot with the RGB curves' grid and replicate by eye.2. Best way to replicate them to get an exact match? Does anyone wanna take a crack at it?
How can I overlay the image over the DaVinci curves? So I can match them as closely as possibleJust match the grid of the screenshot with the RGB curves' grid and replicate by eye.
What kind of white balance gains adjustment does he make? Or rather what is his goal of doing these adjustments in his LUT in the first place?T

You could potentially try using a program like digizeit to digitize graph data from screenshots. You’d then need to figure out how to convert those XY coordinates you get into float values. But from there you could actually plug all of those XY points into the fusion curve tool and export a LUT to use. Nico at demystify color uses this method for prepping charts for film emulation and it’s very cool! Yeah I actually agree with you here, but wanted to help a bit since that’s what Daniel is after. I’d imagine by far the most interesting stuff going on with his look his the 3D transformations and not the curves any way. This looks pretty similar to most 2383 curvesBig question here is: Why would you wanna do this? What do expect from coyping one other's work 1:1?
It won't help you make you're grade looking like a Yedlin shot movie.
